Greetings Classmates and Friends,
CT ‘72 Fun Times Society/Fun Times Society was created for the sole purpose of
building and maintaining relationships, living our best lives, and having fun. It has
taken 50 years to build the reputation and friendships that we have and value.
It has never been our intent to be a for profit organization.
We have supported Luxury Travel By Debbi over the years and have enjoyed
ourselves tremendously with every cruise! We had a fantastic and memorable time
cruising the Mediterranean and French Riviera just a few weeks ago.
However, it has come to our attention that the name Maurice and I created,
CT ’72 Fun Times Society and Fun Times Society has been appropriated.
The domain names have been registered without prior knowledge, agreement,
or consent to Gordon Merritt, to be used for promotion and profit.
Because of this finding and to eliminate any confusion, please note that we no
longer have an affiliation with CT ’72 Fun Times Society or Fun Times Society (FTS)
in conjunction with any entertainment or travel-related ventures
. Maurice and I are severing all ties with Luxury Travel By Debbi, L’esprit Cruises,
L’esprit Super Yacht Day Cruises, Shore Adventures, and Affinity Travel Groups.
Stay tuned for our new name and our future plans for 2026.
Excitement and fun are in our future.
All the best!
Corlyss and Maurice

Important message from Detroit Princess Cruises regarding parking:
Parking at the LAZ Parking (formerly SP+) is on the corner of Bates and Atwater St. Use the Bates St. entrance.
Parked time over 3 hours in length is $29.00. Once parked, walk toward the river and use the RiverWalk to get to the boat, about a 5-minute walk. We are docked behind Huntington Place and Hart Plaza.
When exiting the boat, make sure to visit the counter in the foyer on Deck 1 and ask for a parking sticker. Put the sticker on the BACK of your parking ticket so it's not covering any information. When you put your parking ticket in the machine upon exiting the parking structure, it will give you a $6 discount. You may also get the sticker during the cruise from the gift shop.
Payment is by Credit or Debit Card only, NO Cash.
We do not guarantee parking will be available, only suggest LAZ Parking as the closest garage/lot to the boat.

Welcome Cass Tech Class of 1972 and Friends
Class of 1972 and friends,
WOW!
That about sums up our feelings of elation, celebration, and gratitude for having shared our journey with so many of you last weekend. Our “Simply the Best” 50th reunion weekend provided an opportunity to fulfill the desire to be amongst those who attended and cemented a bond that cannot be broken.
Maurice and I have taken a few days to reflect on our reunion weekend experience. After over a year of planning to see the results of 100’s of hours of work was very emotional for us. The comments, the accolades, compliments, gratitude and love given, tells us that our efforts were appreciated. When a classmate says, “I had the best time of my life.”; it brings such a feeling of satisfaction because that is confirmation that WE DELIVERED!
People are asking how were we able to accomplish such a successful reunion weekend? We can honestly say that prayer, having a vision (bringing the wow!), assembling the “Dream Team”; D’Anna, Ron, Carlton, Donna, Vanessa, Laval, Doug, Peggy, Pat, Sharon, and Robert, and add our supportive, loyal and dedicated classmates and friends equates to hosting an unforgettable reunion weekend that CANNOT BE DUPLICATED!
There are so many of you to thank; from the reunion committee to our generous sponsors, donors, and volunteers. We also must thank Rasheedah Williams and staff of the Fort Shelby Doubletree Suites and Nicole and Shauna at the Roostertail. They were awesome to work with! We want to extend a very special acknowledgment to our classmate and SILVER SPONSOR, BEVERLY GIBSON!!! Beverly, you are to be applauded for your generosity!!!
We also want to extend a very special thank you to Terri Berry and Monique Bryant
from The Triangle Society, for your involvement in making our reunion weekend
“Simply the Best”! Your assistance is beyond measure. Thanks to Newton Gentry, Belinda Evans Ebio, Leonard Posey, Glenda Evans and Debra Gaston for your sweat equity. Thanks to Carlton Young for making the planning of this reunion your job!
Lastly, a very special and heartfelt thank you to our committee member, Vanessa Stafford, for donating so many of your talents and skills to creating our memorable reunion.
This 50th Cass Tech High School reunion celebration was officially our last reunion.
We can no longer wait 5-10 years to get together. We are transitioning into
CT ’72 Fun Times Society, which will allow us to come together for various events,
such as, birthday celebrations, concerts, cruises, and parties.
WE WILL FIND A WAY AND A REASON TO GET TOGETHER AGAIN SOON!
Wishing you all “Simply the Best” life has to offer! God bless you all!
Til we meet again!
Love,
Corlyss & Maurice
